Grandma's Irish Stew

1 lb beef stew meat
3 carrots cut into 1" pieces
2 potatoes, cut in chunks
1/2 c sliced celery
1 onion, cut into chunks
1 Tbs quick Tapioca
1 slice bread, cubed
1 can (29 oz) tomatoes, diced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp marjoram
1/4 tsp Thyme
1/4 tsp basil

Combine ingredients in 2 quart baking dish. Blend well. cover and bake 250 for 5 hours. OR place in crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.
