Indoor Smores'

These are John's new favorite treat as of today!

8-cups golden grahams cereal (one 13oz. box) -{Target has their brand for $1.99}
1 1/2 cups milk choc morsels
6-cups miniature marshmallows (one 10 oz. bag)
5- tablespoons butter or margarine
1- teaspoon vanilla
1/4- cup light corn syrup,
BUTTER rectangular pan, 13x9x2.
MELT- butter, corn syrup, 5 cups marshmallows (save 1 cup marshmallows for later). Wait until the marshmallows are 1/2 melted and then add the chocolate morsels and vanilla. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
POUR-Golden grahams cereal into a lrg. bowl. Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal; stir until evenly coated. Stir in remaining marshmallows. (By stiring in the marshmallows in at the end it will keep the marshmallows white verses covering them in chocolate.)
PRESS- Mixture into pan with buttered back of spoon. Cool until as firm as you'd like. Cut into 24 bars. Store loosely covered at room temp.
NOTE( MILK CHOC IS RECOMMENDED, BUT SEMI-SWEET CAN BE USED)
Having someone to help you is suggested when you get to the pressing it in the pan part. I had John put cooking spray on his hands and he was able to press it in as I poured it into the pan. I think I am going to be stocking up on Golden Grahams, chocolate chips and marshmallows!
