Grandma's Halibut Au Gratin

Halibut (6 oz person)
poach fish until done about 10-15 minutes
Melt butter and simmer until thick:

3 Tbs butter
1 Tbs flour
2 C half and half
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dry mustard
salt and pepper

Add:
1/2 c milk, cheddar cheese grated. Simmer until melted and thick but not too thick. Add milk to thin if necessary. Drain fish. Put in pan and pour sauce over top of fish. Add more grated cheese on top. Bake 350 for 10 minutes.
