John's mom recipe:
1 c evaporated milk
3 egg yolks
1/4 c butter
1 c walnuts
1 c sugar
1/2 c coconut
1 tsp vanilla
Stir milk, sugar, egg yolks and butter over medium until slightly thickens-about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool. Spread over cake.
