Grandma Walker's recipe
1 pkg each of grape, lime and orange JELL-O
3 c boiling water
1 1/2 c cold water
1 c pineapple juice (we used it from canned pineapple)
1/4 c sugar
1 pkg strawberry JELL-O
1/2 c cold water
1 c graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c melted butter
2 c Cool Whip
Prepare the first three pkgs of JELL-O, using one cup boiling water for each and 1/2 cup cold water after each is dissolved. Pour into separate shallow pans and chill until very firm.
Combine in a small pan pineapple juice and sugar. Heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and dissolve strawberry JELL-O. Add 1/2 c cold water and chill until syrupy.
Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press into 9x13 pan. Fold together the Cool Whip and partially thickened strawberry Jello. Cut the firm grape, lime and orange JELL-O into 1/2 inch cubes. Fold cubes into Cool Whip mixture. Pour over graham cracker crumbs and chill for 4 hours.
Other flavors are good as well.
