Beef Stew

Brown 2 lbs stewing meat

Add:
4 c hot water
1 tsp lemon juice
dash garlic salt
1 medium onion
2 bay leaves
1 TBS salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp paprika

Stir for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Add to this:
6 carrots, cut in large pieces
4 medium potatoes, quartered
1 pkg frozen peas
2 onions, quartered

Continue to cook 20-30 minutes or until the veggies are done. Could be done in a crock pot as well and just simmer all day after browning stewing meat.
